Bill Larson, CPM
Bill Larson is responsible for the analysis of property operations and markets and prepares operating budgets that are paramount to his success in managing multifamily assets. Bill has been active in the management of multifamily housing for (35) years. Starting as an on-site community manager, Mr. Larson has experienced the apartment management field from the ground-up. Prior to joining BMG, Bill was President of Bristol Properties, Inc.Bristol was formed in 1995 and provided property management services for a portfolio of over 6,000 multifamily units throughout the Midwest and Southwest.He has extensive experience in Conventional assets, HUD insured, and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties. Bill has demonstrated a strong ability to develop his management teams focused on the type and style of the managed asset, and is able to time over time respond and meet owner's objectives.Bill has a BS in Business Administration, with a major in Economics from the University of Dayton. Bill is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, and in his spare time he is active with Amazing Grace, which provides aid and assistance for homeless veterans and families.
Chandler Thompson joined Block Multifamily Group, LLC (BMG) as Assistant Vice President in January 2017. Prior to BMG, she worked as a Senior Project Engineer for JE Dunn Construction Co. for (5) years in Dallas, TX. Prior to JE Dunn, she worked as a Sales Associate for Block Real Estate Services, LLC. Chandler grew up in the Kansas City area, and graduated from SMU in Dallas, TX where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and minored in Spanish. Chandler will be responsible for customer service/satisfaction, overall performance and company oversight, including quality control and owner/investor satisfaction; development of corporate policy and process; staff development and training; business development, due diligence support, and other general strategic and executive leadership responsibilities.
Melonie Harris, CAM, CAPS
Melonie Harris joined Block Multifamily Group as Regional Property Manager in November 2015. Prior to BMG, she began her career with Lincoln Property Company in 1997. Her previous experiences include multi site management comprised of approximately 2,500 units as Assistant Regional Property Manager and Business Manager. She brings extensive knowledge including the ability to analyze, evaluate, and supervise, financial performance, liability management, capital improvements, business management, and personnel. She is proficient in preparation of annual capital and operational budgets and business plans, due diligence for new acquisitions, and training on site staffs in business practices for immediate operations. Melonie obtained her CAM in 2010 and her CAPS in 2017 from the National Apartment Association.
Dustin Roach, CAM
Dustin Roach joined Block Multifamily Group as a Property Manager in November 2015. Prior to BMG, he began his career with NOI Property Management in 2011. In July of 2017, he was promoted to District Manager.Dustin holds a BA in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Arkansas, and an MBA from John Brown University. He obtained his CAM designation in 2017 from the National Apartment Association. As a native of Northwest Arkansas, Dustin brings extensive knowledge and experience in customer service, leadership, accounting, budgeting, profit and loss management, and strategic planning.
Valerie Ross joined Block Multifamily Group as a Property Manager in August of 2017. Prior to BMG, she worked at Greystar for almost (10) years. Valerie brings 20+ years of property management experience, including managing multiple sites at once, new construction, garden and mid-rise style apartment homes. With more than two decades in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, she also has experience managing multifamily assets in Kentucky and Houston markets. Valerie enjoys team building and mentoring others, while ensuring properties preform at their optimal level.
Bryan Stephenson, CAMT
Bryan Stephenson joined Block Multifamily Group as Director of Maintenance in March 2016. Prior to BMG, he began his career with Whitney Management Corporation in 1994. He then took employment as a Service Technician and then a Service Manager with AMLI Residential in 2004. He continued working as a Service Director with Fogelman Management Group until June 2015. He became a Multi Site Service Director in June 2015, overseeing approximately 500 total units until joining Block Multifamily in March 2016. Bryan has extensive knowledge in many aspects of maintenance and is skilled in Team Leadership, Supervision, Budgeting, and Capital Improvements. He strives to create continuity between service teams and enjoys teaching with a positive and hands on approach. Bryan earned his CAMT certification through the National Apartment Association in 2012, and continues his involvement through training for the Apartment Association of Kansas City.
Prior to her career in property management Angela attended UTEP majoring in Civil Engineering. She is a 6th generation U.S. Soldier and was awarded a “Merit Coin” by the General of the United States Army Colin Luther Powell. She has worked in the construction and multifamily industry for over 20 years. Her experience expertise includes, construction, renovation, due diligences and project management. Over the past 5 years Angela played a significant role in the success of two major multifamily renovations totaling over 10 million dollars.
Joseph Martinez, CAMT, CPO
Joseph Martinez joined Block Multifamily Group in June 2013 and served as Maintenance Supervisor at The Settlement apartments until July 2018. Joseph returned to Block Multifamily Group in June 2018 as Regional Maintenance Director currently over our Texas region. Joseph brings over 23 years’ experience in the multifamily industry and has worked conventional, tax credit, mid-rise, student as well as new construction properties. Joseph has both CAMT and CPO certifications.
Teri McGhee, CAM
Teri McGhee joined Block Multifamily Group as a Property Manager in October 2015. She brings (10) years of experience in the Multifamily industry, including extensive knowledge and experience in customer service, multi- site property management, accounting, budgeting, leadership, and training. In May of 2018, she was promoted to Yardi Administrator, Teri also holds the title as our Director of Training. She obtained her CAM designation in 2017 from the National Apartment Association. Teri is passionate about motivating and building successful teams.
